Not sure if you're up for it, but I have a goofy fun adventure prequel to my shimmering hearts stories bending cannon slightly (for fun and entertainment, no ponies were actually harmed in the making of this story ) It's Tales of an Equestrian Battle Mage, the adventures Sunset (and her fellow personal students of Celestia) get into before she went all Vader and embraced the dark-side, fleeing through the portal. I'm hoping to get a chapter out on it starting the next subarc before Christmas, eggnog and relatives cooperating.
