Lampshade Tales aims to be a collection of short stories that wants to satirize some popular tropes in pony stories and maybe give another perspective on plots that other stories or the show leave unanswered or poorly explained. Even stories with more possibilities, taking on the premises of other stories and giving them a twist.

The story appears as complete since it's first and original chapter is finished, but it will grow as more ideas and possibilites are discussed and put on paper. The stories may or may not be autoconclusive.

Feel free to suggest ideas for chapters and please, if you spot any errors please contact the author. He's not a native speaker and he can't spellcheck with the precision of someone who actually knows what it's doing.

In the magical land of Equestria, two alicorn sisters raise the Sun and the Moon every day to give the world a night and day cycle, basic for the survival of life. There are also two alicorns who rule over two very core aspects of life and harmony itself. Those are Love and Friendship. While not as ancient as the two sisters, all princesses are essential to the world's balance.
This balance is also sustained by the hard-working ponies, who make the seasons change and manage the weather to fit their needs, so everypony has enough food and water, and every animal is also attended to assure that any of them are caught in the changes of seasons.

But what about the planet itself? What about Mother Nature?
This is the question that Gaia asks when she arrives to this foreign world. After so much work her son persuaded her to take a long vacation in Equestria, saying that she needed one and assuring her that he would be in charge now, and she must take a break. But what can a several billion-year old alicorn possibly do to pass her time in this land?

Come near, little foals, and hear the a story from the old times. A story before the princesses and Equestria, and far before the clash of the three tribes. A story of a world where harmony was only a word and war was a reality.
A story of old kingdoms whose names were forgotten, and most of all the story of a traveler...
...A pilgrim warrior

This is an adaptation of a story I wrote a couple of years ago for a writing contest (I didn't win anything so you could figure how well I went in the contest). I thought the concept could be applied to ponies in a nice way and after translating a bit and adding ponies to the mix I had this as a result!
Just a quick story. Nothing more, nothing less.

The lack of description of the characters involved and the land itself was intentional. I wanted the reader to imagine the characters and the land as they want, not giving names or descriptions if it wasn't necesary. It was kinda an experiment since the original was written under a page limit, so I wanted to do as much as I could with the the "space" given.
I want to apologize for the more than probably misspelings and mistakes beforehand. I know my english isn't the best.

Humanity as a race has finally fallen and Earth has been purified. Equestria is now a stronger nation thanks for all it's new inhabitants, the newfoals, formerly humans before the purification of Earth. The celestial sisters rejoiced in their thrones, because they drove humanity to a new step of happines though the ponification and assimilation of all the humans into Equestria. Or so they thought.

Led by a mysterious stallion of indomitable will and resolution, far away of equestrian frontiers, a city stood defiant against Equestria itself as the last hope of humanity, maybe not humans anymore at the surface but at heart. With the last remnants of human knowledge inside the minds of the dwellers of this thriving city, will they be able to recover their identities and freedom? Or they are going to succumb against the problems of forming a independant state from Equestria?

A/N: This is my first shot at something as complex as The Conversion Bureau universe. I'll take mainly the original premise of this universe plus some adds from here and there, so you can look at it as a personal view about it.
Don't expect frequent updates on this, since I want to think each chapter. Anyway if this little thingy manages to be liked I can think about be more swift with the chapters, but I'm a very inconstant and tend to take far too time to write.
By the way, I hope you like this story!

Special and big thanks to Jack Kellar for spotting errors and edit the story thus far to make it more readable. (Damn my lack of english vocabulary)
