Equestria. A fledgling nation, wrenched from the grasp of a madgod. Most ponies alive couldn't remember what a world driven by logic looked like. Without experienced leaders to follow, the rule of their home fell to Celestia and Luna, the sisters who defeated the tyrant. The sisters, princesses now, attempted to settle into their roles. But their lot was not even.

Not two years later, on New Year's Eve, Princess Celestia is faced with the bitter reminder of her failure, approaching the first year she will spend without her sister.

A one-off I wrote for a write-off, as part of an attempt to get myself back into the swing of writing. Never written anything with the Princesses as a major focus before, let me know what you think.

How did it all go so wrong? A DJ in a run-down apartment, with a bottle of booze, an old record and a thorough disgust with her own situation is prepared to go out in one last blaze of indulgence, reluctant to ever look back at the life she so thoroughly ruined. But was it as bad as she remembers? How could meeting one mare lead to a chain of events so drastic? How could one mysterious spark lead her into the situation that would end her life?

Sappy, over the top description over, Author's stream of consciousness begins here. This is just something that came to my mind, and I was knocking-around in my head a while. Don't know if it's any good, and it's DEFINITELY over the top, but I thought it was at the least interesting to write, since I threw away pretty much every comfort I have in my writing style.

Let me know what you think, bad or good!

Rated Teen for drug use, some cursing, and ponies trying to off themselves. Dunno if the Dark tag fits, but it's 5 in the morning (HOLY CRAP) so I'll rejudge that after I sleep on it.

It has been fourteen years since Twilight Sparkle first arrived in Ponyville. Life goes on, happy as it always has, even as she and her friends grow older. And there's only one mare she could think of sharing that life with: her wife, Rainbow Dash.

As winter settles in, Rainbow and Twilight are busy making preparations for the 12th birthday of their daughter, Opal Dart, followed in the same week by their 10th anniversary. Chaos and bedlam are the words of the day as they scramble to get everything in order, and ensure a perfect day for their little foal. Unfortunately, it is within this same time that Rainbow Dash has, by necessity, at last been promoted to to the position of Captain of the Wonderbolts. With her dream job finally realized, Dash cannot believe anything could go wrong. She quickly realizes, though, that the stress of her job was not something she was prepared for. As her mood perpetually sours, Twilight finds herself increasingly frustrated at the distance her wife is putting between them. As the couple spiral towards their own destruction, Opal Dart and Spike seek help from anyone they can find.

The only question is if they'll be able to do anything before their relationship is beyond salvaging.

So yeah, cheesy introduction put aside, this is what I've been setting the framework for instead of updating either of the stories I've got running: a prequel to my first ponyfic ever, "Even Rainbows Fade", which I have to come to accept as the most successful thing I will ever write. It shall not be topped. So I figured I might as well write this, both because I love the pair so much, and because I can answer a few questions and address a few issues both some readers and myself had with the original story.

Like I said, it's a prequel, so some knowledge WILL be assumed of you coming in. Hopefully it's easy enough to work out without having to read the first, though. If you have any comments, criticisms, or praise to share, by all means do so! I'll never improve without critique, and I'll be starved for attention if nobody loves me =P

Rated Teen for some moderate violence, and I'm not 100% sure if the Sad tag applies. Far less crushfeels than the original since, y'know, nopony dies.

You'd really think that, by now, Rainbow Dash would learn to stop helping Pinkie Pie with her baking. Yet, here she is again, on a rainy day, being told about some strange dessert she's never heard of before, and because of her darned Element, she finds herself obligated to help. The only trouble is, some of these ingredients are a bit harder to find than sense would dictate.

Will Rainbow Dash get through her glorified grocery shopping quest with her sanity intact, or will this strange dish claim her very mind? (Probably not. But it's fun to watch frustrated ponies suffer, no?)

Inspired in part by the mind-boggling difficulty I had teaching my friends how to make pistachio salad, and the shenanigans that resulted.

As Nightmare Night comes to Ponyville, Twilight and the other girls are tracked down by Pinkie Pie, who is ecstatic to tell them that they've all been invited to her uncle's manor for one of his world-famous Nightmare Night parties. They meet old and new faces as everyone begins to mingle.

But late that night, a horrible laugh and a bloody scene awaken the guests from their slumber, and they find themselves trapped inside of the house, at the mercy of a psychotic killer. As more and more ponies disappear and slip into this psycho's clutches, it's up to Pinkie Pie and her faithful sidekick Twilight Sparkle to solve the Case of the Brindlehoof Killer.

A dark comedy murder mystery, with lots of ponies and far more characters than Da Rules say I can list. Rated Teen for pony death, blood, and one count of irreverent mishandling of a corpse.

When Doctor Whooves first became a pony, blasted into Equestria, he'd considered it a blessing. A chance at a peaceful, normal, mortal life after so many centuries of torment. But on a quiet winter night, he shares a revelation with his wife, that this chance may have been denied him after all.

Just a short one-shot I did, because I'm working on something bigger but really didn't want to do anything with it tonight.

It's been a very, very long time since that first time Twilight Sparkle first stepped foot into Ponyville. It's been almost as long since the day of her wedding; a day nopony saw coming. The part they saw coming less than that was that the lucky "stallion" was Rainbow Dash, of all ponies. Of course, they lived the happiest lives they could possibly live together. But what happens when that life ends?

Twilight Sparkle is dead. Rainbow Dash has had this fact pounded into her skull over and over again, and on the day of her funeral it can't be denied any longer. As all her friends' attempts to console her go awry, the widow Dash is forced to confront the hole left gaping in her life with Twilight's absence. As Dash's thoughts spiral downward further and further towards the unthinkable, Applejack leads a last effort to re-kindle the spirit of her old rival.
