A scientific paper on sugarbeets I'm contributing to needs work, harvest begins soon, and school starts up again this week so I'm not anticipating weekly releases for either of my active stories, The Virgin Company and Princess Essenta, for at least a few weeks. I'm still editing and doing a little rewriting on them so I hope to drop a chapter before the month is out and a couple in September.

Weekend went pretty well on the river; we only had to get off the water once regarding weather concerns. Wound up going 133 miles.

We set off with nine guys in four canoes and came home with eight guys. One thought he didn't need sunscreen on the river, despite our telling him otherwise. We wound up leaving him at a motel next to a hospital in a small town on Saturday; that's how bad his sunburn was. But he came home Sunday, in great discomfort, and will likely take a few days off work.

I took Princess off hiatus. It won't release weekly, but will see sporadic release during the late spring and summer.

After getting sniped for adding appendices as chapters in my stories, I moved said appendices to the bottom of my profile. It was lame, so I've just put each of them in blog posts. That way I can link to them in author's notes and update them in one place.

In addition to working with sugarbeet plots this summer, I've been offered additional responsibilities involving research and supervision. And now I've landed a summer class a couple days a week. This means more experience, more money, and a foot in the door for possibly landing a position once I get my degree.

Also means less pony time.

The last two weeks of school are proving busy and we're prepping a sugarbeet field for planting in the next couple days, so Princess Essenta will not see a release this week. Have been rewriting and doing some editing on top of that.

I'm hoping to have the Princess chapter ready May 10.

The Virgin Company should see a release May 14.

At the mercy of final exams and whatever nature throws at us.
