2625240 I most definitely agree with you that the Tyrant trope, even when this was first written nearly 4 years ago, was already done to death in regards to Celestia. Thing is, that trope requires a great deal of twisting for the benevolent leader we see in the present to some how fit into that. As I'm sure you'd guess, a good person can be convinced to do all manner of terrible things, if it's towards a 'greater good.' and especially so if it's in memory, or in respect, of someone they hold dear.
That's an interesting kernel of an idea you've suggested! I don't know if it's really something that can be turned into a sequel though. Possibly an epilogue of sorts, that I could see. I don't want to raise your hopes though. I've unfortunately promised stories in the past that never materialized for one reason or another, and I don't want to disappoint you, so I can't promise you anything like your idea will ever happen.
2624895 Your welcome. I love how you took the "Celestia is a tyrant" trope and took it down a path that seemed remarkably believable. In fact, when it got to the part where Celestia told Starswirl that she only wanted to achieve Luna's dream, and then Starswirl showed Celestia all the virtues of the Elements of Harmony through visual means, I was thinking that you should do a sequel to this story where Celestia is the one teaching Luna the same thing. It would be interesting to see the contrast of how Luna would learn, cope, and react to seeing the results of her own agenda, as opposed to Celestia trying to carry it out for Luna.

That's okay. We'll always have the original to enjoy over and over again!
