Starswirl and Celestia playing together.

I made this image to serve helping readers imagine the characters better.
Even to me, Starswirl doesn't quite appear the way I imagine him. I think he looks a lot softer than he acts, but the picture captures the opposite.

In my first chapter, I described a bit of the mystery of the Castle that all the alicorns lived in. I wasn't able to fit a full explanation of how its magic works, and so to clear up possible confusion I'll write a blog about it here.
