As you can tell by the cover pic, which I altered a bit, this story is inspired by the first blurb about an Apple family photo Applejack tells in "Every Little Thing She Does." Sad tag is for one scene in the story; much of it is mere SoL. Sex tag is for implied mating between two swine.

King Thorax of the Changelings has never sung a solo in his life, owing to his lifelong lack of confidence in just about everything. While he has gained a great deal of confidence in such a short time span - overthrowing Chrysalis, becoming a ruler, and asserting his new role as a ruler - song remains a hurdle.

Thorax seeks to change that. If the vast majority of Equus could share the song in their hearts, so could he. But the all-too-familiar question remains: how?

Takes place at some point in season 7, following the events of To Change a Changeling. It goes without saying that this story will be in no way affected should Thorax sing in a future episode.
