For my societal analysis I focused on Fallout Equestria and Fallout Equestria Project Horizons the latter has a very nice view on Gang Culture and Religion vs Science. It also points on blind loyalty to a totalitarian system as well.

Either, I think. Mostly I like examinations of sociopolitical factors in pretty pastel pony world. Before signing up I read a lot of first contact fics, and got into the Xenophilia universe primarily for the examinations of a herd mentality on a societal level, and the various kinds of pony martial arts from their different tribes mentioned in the background.
That's also why I like the Mentally Advanced Series as satire.
