The story takes place during the events of Where life leads us and some characters from this story will be mentioned. This story started as a chapter of Where life leads us, but it soon grew so big that I decided it deserved to stand on its own.

A decade ago, the legendary Crystal Empire had reappeared, and with it its inhabitants, the crystal ponies. After recovering their memories and driving out the last remains of the evil king Sombra, Princess Cadance took the throne and guided her new citizens through many years of grief, healing and rebuilding.

Now, a new generation crystal ponies is growing up and the trauma of war and misery starts to fade. It is time for the crystal ponies to move on, and for the Crystal Empire to start growing once more. For this task, Princess Cadance asked for help from their southern neighbours, the Kingdom of Equestria.

One of the ponies who followed her call is Radiant Beam, a unicorn researcher from the Royal Institute of Magic in Canterlot. This is the story of her journey into the frozen north.

Shortly after the Battle of the Bands, a new student arrives at Canterlot High School. Nobody knows her and she's not in a mood to make any friends. On any other school, she'd end up as a loner, but Canterlot High School isn't normal.
Of course, shenanigans are inevitable. Friendship, feelings and magic, whether she likes it or not.

Another EQG self-insert that starts right after "Rainbow Rocks" and moves forward from there. Since the events from the movies and mini-series won't all be included, I'm giving this the AU tag, just in case.
Tagged as "Teen" mostly because of foul language.
"Violence" and "Suicide" only happen in the later chapters, I will give a warning at the beginning of those.

This story is dedicated to a friend I haven't heard of in almost half a year now. I met her while I was in therapy for depression. She wasn't into MLP at all, but we bonded over music we both liked and I showed her some of the stuff I've written before. We even watched a few EQG videos and even if she wasn't ever "into" all this stuff, she felt pretty strongly when I showed her some Anon-A-Miss fics.
Turns out we both had out problems growing up and going to school.

We started talking, making up stories and I wrote some of them down. I made the suggestions to place them into the EGQ world, and Ocean Blues was born.

That was more than a year ago. We kept in touch, even after therapy, thanks to the internet, and we kept writing this "thing" together. Until, almost half a year ago, contact suddenly broke down. Her social media still exists, but there's no reaction. Her phone number won't connect any more. I have no idea what happened to her, and with all that corona and world wide crisis going on, it scares me. I know people sometimes just move on. I know people stop using their social media or change their phone numbers all the time. It still scares me.

So I've decided to publish this. It's not all finished and there will be gaps in the story line, although I've been trying to fill some of them on my own. This story was originally written in German, so the translation might sound weird at some points, please bear with me.
Maybe I will never finish this, but at least I want to post all I have from our work so far. To get it off my chest, and maybe so someone else might find it and get something out of it, even if it's just a chuckle.

Crystal Note is the only crystal unicorn in all of Equestria. Therefore, she is the only crystal pony with access to unicorn magic, the same magic that was once used to put a terrible curse on her home, the Crystal Empire far up north.

After spending years of travelling all over Equestria as a musician and singer, Crystal Note moved back to her home. She has come to peace with the events of her past, good and bad, and is now ready to be a part of the Crystal Empire again.

However, tragic events keep happening even in times of peace. Suddenly, Crystal Note finds herself in a unique position to help and with eager desire to do so. She will do everything she can to give back the kindness and trust once given to her and help three fillies in their time of dire need.
This is the story of Crystal Note and family.

This story takes place a couple of years after the events of Windigo Storm. While it is not necessary to read that story or any of the Crystal Note AU, there wil be referrals to events and ponies from the past.
Some of those events have not been written or published yet, please excuse if that happens.

This story contains multiple story archs that are connected and intertwined. Therefore, instead of putting each of those archs into an individual story, I will publish all of them in this story and further updates.
Not all of the story archs are finished yet, I will mark those for you. Since many of the stories are intertwined, the timeline might jump a little between stories and the order of chapters will change with further updates.

Please read this blog for some other reasons.

While it is recommended to read the two first story archs, all further story archs can be read on their own, so feel free to skip anything that doesn't peak your interest.

Welcome to this little side story from the Crystal Note AU. These stories are connected to the main story, but not necessary to fully understand the main stories.

Most likely, this is going to be a place for exposition dumps and little ideas that didn't fit well into any of the bigger stories.

There will be infrequent updates to this and probably a lot of jumps in time between the chapters. I'll try to keep things in order if possible.
