For the sake of clarity let's run down the how's of how these local humans ended up in these stories of mine.

Ahem:

Beans on toast and hot showers: N/A
All of the Rainbow Dash ones: Unspecified interdimensional transition.
Sleepless: Unspecified interdimensional plummet.
Askew: Unspecified interdimensional shift.
All of the stories involving Jack: Unspecified traumatic interdimensional rupture.

And I thought to myself after picking the rather unspectacular name of Johns "The only things I can think of that are Johns are excuses and that guy out of Pitch Black who brought Riddick in, huh."

And lo and behold! Pitch Black is on telly tonight!

Coincidence? Or PROVIDENCE?!

Also, I'm on Goodreads? How does that even work?

Is there some script pulling me onto there, or did someone do that?

Internet?!

And sure, sometimes I look back and think to myself "Actually, Eggs Benedict was an alright character. Pretty down-to-earth and levelheaded, pretty cute. She was quite neat!"

Then I remembered she's DEAD and it's ALL MY FAULT.

I'm a MONSTER.

I do tend to forget that 'Anon' exists as kind of a seperate entity with a fairly established personality on here, while I just sometimes use the name to fill the blank where a character's name should be.

Should probably just keep picking names at random...

Bewilderingly, it appears that Bedbound has managed to hit one thousand likes (or thumbs up, or whatever).

These sorts of arbitrary milestones are always invigorating! And does make the thing probably the most wildly successful piece of, well, I hesitate to call it writing so let's just say it's apparently the most popular sequence of events expressed in words that i was somehow involved with.

What an age to be alive.

Appropos of nothing, in my head I envision the expedition humans from my silly little 'Home' thingy being vaguely reminiscent of the guys from Keloid, at least initially. Especially the suits the actual dudes wear.

This is mainly just an excuse to try and get more people to see how cool that Keloid short is. Thematically they don't have anything in common.

Governing Intelligences! Sci-fi! Yeah!

It can get a little difficult to keep track of these things sometimes, particularly the things I haven't finished yet. Not helped by my utter revulsion at the thought of keeping notes or writing down anything useful - I have no-one but myself to blame.

Then again, given that the various human characters are just bits of me chopped up and served in different portions it's more a case of remembering where I wanted a story to go and what I wanted to happen in it. Which isn't too hard.

And maybe I am overly idiosyncratic with my rigid - some might say stubborn! - insistence on trampling all over the tagging system and using slice of life for everything but, uh...

There's probably a better way of doing things but I've never felt that anything I've done has sufficiently fallen into any of the other categories enough to fit. Story of my life.

I always knew, from fairly early on at least, that the little bunch of stories about Jack was going to stretch to five and also from fairly early on I had a reasonable grasp of what was going to happen in it. Generally speaking, I mean - this is still me, I'm not planning shit. But I definitely knew how it was going to end. That part I even jotted down so I wouldn't forget.

Now it's just a case of filling in the blanks and smoothing out the bits that connect.
