The title of this blog post explains some of my feelings.
This all started when I thought while writing th latest chapter of God Empress: how would an army of ponies fight? A simple answer would be a cavalry charge, but that leave so much untapped potential: What of unicorns and Pegasi? Wouldn't a commander also bring fieldpieces to break up enemy formations? And if assaulting a fortress, what then? Or suppose the enemy rushed you with a big line of buffalo or similar sized animal?

So, historic things going on today- on this day in 1812, the U.S.S. Constitution defeated H.M.S. Guerrier. I'm mentioning this because it fits with the time period of these stories, and the Constitution is a really cool ship (Haven't seen it in person but I'd love to)
Anyway, next chapter for Rise of the Fiends should be up soon. It's not my favorite chapter but the story will be getting better.
