3192702 This is one of my biggest fears, that we're searching for solutions within a limited scope, not seeing what's right in front of us.

Anyways, if you ever crave for more inspiration about Tenty, I have 2 finished stories up, but they're mature, so I can't link them.

I just remembered it reminds heavily of https://youtu.be/Etn0Wsgkn-0 just not as hopeless.

OK, that's where the confusion came from! When you said there was a way for her to "live happily ever after" essentially, I was under the assumption you meant, "situation resolved, everything is as it was". Not basically living in a parallel universe. Alright that makes sense, if not extremely bittersweet. I was thinking on top of the chimney not in it.

Thanks for the follow! :yay:

3192695 I admire your dedication.

You'll notice that at the very end of the story, Twilight says that it will last longer. So you know what her aim is, to battle the corrosive effect on her inner world. You could argue that she'll just make her world bigger, thus lasting longer because corrosion will take longer to wipe it all out. However, she might use one of the permanent solutions instead.

You have to ask yourself, what causes corrosion? The answer to that is 2 things when they are both true at once:
1. Existence of a connection between worlds
2. Time-flow difference

Both must be true in order for corrosion to take effect.

Now, it's hard to be friends with statues frozen in time. Twilight does want time to exist. So, what is the other thing that she can do in order to stop the corrosion?
