Starlit Harmonic, like many other freelance musicians, has a hard time finding more permanent contracts that pay well enough to be a primary source of income. Living in Manehatten just adds salt to the wound. Working two jobs is necessary until a good position can come up to replace the small time freelance work with bigger bands. For now though, the radio station is pretty stable after all.

Opportunity arises for the stallion naturally. Misfortune - however - has other ideas.

The siege of Canterlot is underway and the Praetorians are heading the battle destorying any and all resistance they face leaving lesser guards to cleanup the aftermath. Changelings all swarm the skies, quickly overwhelming Canterlot as they edge ever closer to victory. The streets of Middle Canterlot however prove to be a much harder fight.

One such Praetorian however is about to have reality dawn upon him.

Short story done on the spur of the moment. May adjust tags if needed but the Gore tag is there for a reason due to the start of the story. There is one instance of profanity, I don't feel it's enough to warrant the profanity tag however.

No. V (AC) Sqn move off with No. 50 Sqn for a training exercise over Malta. With the recent arrival of the new Lightning F6 aircraft earlier in the year, this is the first real exercise that the pilots are experiencing with No. 50 acting as target practice in their Vulcans.

Fg Off. James Burkley is one if these pilots. A new member to No. V and freshly out of training, was getting some true field experience out of the country. What he got however... Was not according to plan.
