Princess Luna, growing evermore aware that Equestria has come under attack in recent days by a seemingly invisible foe, decides to petition Princess Twilight Sparkle to allow her to found an organisation in order to combat the threat.

And so begins the strange tale of the Nightmare Knights, Equestria's newest reformed team of villains, as they bring peace, justice, order and security to the world--one ghastly ghoul at a time.

You might be afraid of ghosts. But they ain't.

In the distant future of Equestria, magic and technology have been fused together, and corporations pull the strings from the shadows. The world is a harsh wasteland, and ponies live in sprawling urban areas known as megacities.

For Neon Dream, life couldn't be simpler--or more boring. Despite being the 'best delivery pony in the city', she longs for something more.

She gets her wish, albeit not exactly as she hoped, when a relic from the past appears to be the latest package she was supposed to deliver, very much alive and begging for help. Now, the young mare finds herself pursued by relentless bounty hunters, gangsters and security forces hired by the corporations that run the world in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

All while this stranger keeps claiming to be Twilight Sparkle. But that's impossible, Princess Twilight died hundreds of years ago... right?

Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, finds herself transported to another world straight out of old stories she used to read.

Equellas. A place where earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns still live in three separate kingdoms, and the looming threat of war hangs constantly over everypony's heads.

She enlists the help of a hero from her childhood stories in order to find her way home, and discovers that fate has it's own plans for her as a conspiracy threatens to not only destroy this world, but perhaps even Equestria as well...

Twilight Sparkle always found comfort in schedules and routines. Her daily life was so by the book, even when she'd need to see to official princess business, one could say it was almost written before she even woke up.

But when that routine is changed, interrupted, alternated and suspended, Twilight finds she will have a lot more on her plate than simply running Equestria.

Today marks the beginning of Twilight's really bad day.
