This story is a sequel to The Red Sun Rises: Voyages

Princess Luna has been assassinated. In order to revive her sister, Celestia ventures to the east of Griffonstone. After a 'minor' mishap, she allies with an American fleet to get to the Dominion of Apollo, where an answer may be had.

In her absence, Princess Twilight and Princess Cadence rule Equestria. They keep Crimson Dawn as the military commander because of his effectiveness in achieving victory on the battlefield. What happens while they work could never be expected. It is over the top, even for their enemy, King Sombra, and the Crystal Empire.

As he fights off the Crystal Empire's armies, Colonel Crimson Dawn deals with memories of past wars, past battles. And it's up to the epitomes of friendship to help him get through the flashbacks.

This story is a sequel to The Red Sun Rises: Siege of Manehattan

Equestria is at war with Sombra and the Crystal Empire. The foreigner Crimson Dawn, colonel of the Atlantean army, leads the Equestrian resistance at Manehattan. During a lull in the battle, Princess Luna is assassinated.

With help from USS Ronald Reagan and the remains of her escort fleet, Princess Celestia must traverse the perilous Celestial Sea to the ancient Dominion of Apollo. There, the scientists and magic researchers may have a solution to both Celestia's loss and Reagan's path to home.

I should mention that this takes place at the same time as the beginning of Homefront ( https://www.fimfiction.net/story/352606/the-red-sun-rises-homefront ).

If you don't feel like re-reading the first 3 chapters since they're in Siege of Manehattan, just skip to Chapter 4. I really just wanted to recap and start at the beginning of the chapters focused on Celestia because it made sense, because this part is her journey.

Warning: Navy technical terms and plenty of language will be common. If anyone doesn't completely understand a term, please tell me. As for the language, I am not responsible for your innocence being ruined by F-bombs. You chose to read this story, and Navy people drop a lot of curse words.

This is a rather large project, consisting of jokes, references, 4th Wall breaks, HISHE-like endings and possible (if unlikely) spoilers for The Red Sun Rises: Siege of Manehattan and following stories from the universe. This is meant only for fun and to show all of you what I hide inside the series.

As King Sombra uncovers a mystical artifact in the crystal mines of his empire, his armies march on the bustling city of Manehattan, where Celestia's weakened forces make a desperate stand. Led by a foreigner recently appointed by Princess Celestia herself, they must hold out long enough for reinforcements to complete the trans-Celestial Sea voyage and turn the tide of the war once again to a unified Equestria.
