Following her second defeat, Nightmare Moon was imprisoned on Earth's Moon. However, she is far from powerless. She's noticed dimensional rips between the human and monster worlds, and has amassed her forces of evil monsters with duelist partners to bring eternal night to this new world. Pegasus has also noticed the rips, and felt Nightmare's dark presence as well as her gathering forces. In order to counter this threat, he has made the duel morphers. Devices imbued with the spirits of powerful duel monsters. He and his adopted son Golden Rise must find worthy rangers to fight this evil. Before night falls forever. GO GO DUELIST RANGERS!

For most of his life, Burst had no father to raise him. And despite that, he grew up relatively happy. For all he knew his father was dead. That is, until he came home one fateful afternoon.

So far, Burst had been having a good relationship with Celestia. And then out of nowhere, Moon showed up and Burst winds up letting her stay at his house. Then he finds out about her past, and promises she'll never have to be alone. But how is Celestia going to take this? Pretty well considering she's more than happy to share.

Rainbow Dash always said that if she ever got a boyfriend, they'd have to be at least as awesome as her. She didn't know how soon she'd ever find one in the form of Steel Edge. He's almost like her in the regards of how much he loves a good duel and how passionate he can get about "matters of awesomeness." But at the same time he's cool, collected, patient, and can be extremely charming. Enough so that he was able to steal a kiss from Rainbow Dash. She's not to keen on admitting it, but the other girls can see it clear as day. She likes him. And boy is it going to be hard for her to admit it to them, and Steel.

After the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 5, Starlight's life seems to have calmed down a bit. However, lingering memories of what she did under Paradox's influence still haunt her. And through it she starts to wonder if she's really been forgiven, or if everyone is still scared of her in secret. Not if Shadow Thunder has anything to say about it. He loves Starlight more than she knows. And even when she only remembers the worst of the past, Shadow sees only the best of now. It takes a shadow to see how bright the light truly burns.

Dark Ice has come home. Ever since Red Dragon Archfiend partnered with him, he's not been the same since Dark Mist forcibly bound to him. His brothers have accepted him, and he has a family again. You wouldn't think that Rarity would fall for guy like Inferno. Well, you'd be wrong. He may not be the most refined guy, but he's one of the nicest and his blazing spirit only adds to his charm. But what really won her over is how close he holds her to his heart. He's no prince charming, but he is a handsome dragon. And Rarity is his treasure. The thing he loves above all else.

Sonata knows she and her family haven't had the best or reputations after the Battle of the Bands. But through it all, there's been one guy who seems to like her no matter what. Arctic Ace. And after his duel with Burst before the start of Battle City, he confesses his feelings to Sonata. And on their first date, he tells her that he wasn't affected by her family's magic. Because before she even sang, he was already under her Siren's Song.
