I've been slowly moving forward on Chapter 2, and I've come up with an idea. I'm wondering if just maybe the story would work if I used "Saddle Row Review" as a source of inspiration. Of course, it would have to be quite different, and the interview format wouldn't be able to catch all the details, but it just might make the introduction of so many new details easier. Has any other author tried to use this template? I'd love to know how it worked for them.

Delayed Action · 5:23pm Jun 30th, 2019

Well, it's been a busy couple of months, and I find myself still trying to get things worked out. Physically, I'm still dealing with small issues related to my recent operation. Mostly the small annoying things that come as the result of prostate surgery. (and no I will no elaborate) Story wise though, I'm looking over the progress I've made on chapter 2 and I can't help but wonder if what I'm doing will make sense for other readers. In times like this, the lack of any real canon regarding

Another perspective from another writer · 5:03pm Apr 26th, 2019

Stumbled today across another story of what happened in Canterlot during the Storm King invasion. Oh my...I'm not sure what to think. By description, it reminds me of what I have planned, though it certainly isn't identical by any stretch. I guess it shows that someone else had a similar insight as to some of the problems with the movie's plot, which I guess shows that I was onto something. (it is a bit silly to think that I was the only one who noticed) It sounds though like he took a much

Stalling Out · 9:20pm Apr 23rd, 2019

These last few weeks, I've found my self with way too much time on my hands due to a recent medical procedure. When I was thinking about ahead of time, I was like "O.K...I can get work done on my latest story." Well, it hasn't been that simple. Instead of being incredibly productive, I've found myself spending way too much time on Facebook and YouTube. The boredom has been just too much. I guess if nothing else, it all shows that I need more ways to distract myself. So, all I can say is that

Some explaining to do · 3:41pm Apr 4th, 2019

Well, I've taken the plunge, and I'm glad I did, though I am wondering if I should have waited till chapter 2 was done first. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Just do it... · 11:39pm Apr 2nd, 2019

Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and submitted the first chapter of my next story, which I titled "Danger Close". I was waiting to finish the second chapter since it is dealing with a lot of new background, but changed my mind. I guess the whole idea that the final season is starting this weekend made me want to push forward. So hopefully I'll get her approved and we'll see if anyone salutes the flag I've run up.

Human Issues · 8:51am Mar 21st, 2019

I find myself awake and reasonably alert at 3:30am, contemplating the nature of existence. But is there really a point to it? I'm currently obsessing over a medical procedure that I'm facing next week, namely prostate surgery. For those of you too young to give it much thought, it's said that if you live long enough, you will have at least some issue or other with your prostate. Mine unfortunately is the type that requires intervention. I put it off initially, but there comes a time when one

Strange Brew · 2:48pm Feb 25th, 2019

I've been looking at some of the stories again, killing a bit of time while I procrastinate about my current story, and I've noticed once again something I find disturbing. That is, the tendency of so many stories to generalize behaviors over entire groups. I had thought that things like this were limited to certain clop-fics, but I've found it showing up in other places as well, even to a certain degree in the MLP movie. And for me at least, it raises the question of just how the ponies of

Losing my nerve · 2:20am Feb 4th, 2019

Got myself into another debate about the movie. I know, probably not a good idea, as those who have seen the movie seem to be in any number of camps. I personally think that there were a lot of issues with the plot, but I haven't yet gotten the sense that there are many people out there that share that sentiment. And getting into arguments about it I'm afraid may bring negative attention to what I've written. It all kind of reminds one of politics these days, in some ways a bit too much. How do
