This story is a sequel to Twilight And The War Of the Gods

As Star Shadow walked down one of the many corridors that intertwined in Twilight’s castle, his mind was set on years previous. There had been one thousand years of peace, and then a war between gods and ponies that nearly wiped out all creation. He was the new king, the ruler of the newly reborn Equestria… and he ruled alone.

The door opened to reveal a suit of armor, aged thousands of years from parades through small towns and big cities. It had been in the throne rooms of countless royals, and had stood guard many a night by the front gate of his home. It had seen its first battle at the stand of tree sap, a small town on the edge of the Everfree. It would stay on it's owner for nearly a month before being taken off in another town called Spearsound, a village that would become Ponyville in a few thousand years.

As Rainbow drew near the edge of the Everfree after a long day of busting clouds over the forest, she could see a large group of ponies gathered around a small orange dot. As she sped through a few small tufts of clouds and spiraled towards the ground, a few of the ponies began to separate from the group and slowly walk towards her. Though she was flying at a breakneck speed towards the ground, she landed with the grace of a butterfly on a small patch of grass, breaking only one of the blades...

"... I was once a legend, a hero... but time has a way of fading everything away.. and when the time comes for me to prove myself again, I'm shoved into the back so that a young unicorn can save it all... what could this unicorn have that I don't..."

Balance.. harmony and chaos live in a constant balancing act with each other, keeping themselves in check, at least until Starlight tried to rewrite time... now the balance is gone, and the keepers of the balance are not happy... so they send one to correct the wrong, and do whatever it will take to do so...

Rainbow's mind was racing as she watched the newest Alicorn princess, Twilight Sparkle walking up the aisle to receive her crown. She was one of her best friends, but lately she had been feeling something more about the now Alicorn. Every time she had tried to act on those feelings however, she would chicken out.

After nearly five years, Latenighter's old friend Starlet Gaze returns from canterlot. Follow these two as they patch their friendship together again and maybe something more....

Who are you..." Fury asked slowly, "and what have you done with the real Twilight?"

"I am the real Twilight, just not this world's Twilight," she answered as she finally turned her body to face Fury.

"What... What do you mean?" He asked suspiciously.

"I'm from another reality, you know, an alternate universe."

"Such a theory was once brought up by Twilight," Fury said as he began to circle the alternate Twilight. "But if you are from where you say you are, why are you here?"

"In my world, there's a war going on and it went south when he killed Princess Celestia.."

"He? Who is he?"

"Well..., you... the alternate you anyways," Twilight finished.
