Void Crystal has had a hard life. For years he's lived by himself in the dangerous place of the Everfree Forest. He's not that far from Ponyville, but he can never bring himself to go there, being too afraid of what ponies might think of him if they ever got to know him, or if they even saw him. Now with the assistance of Twilight Sparkle he's finally where he's always imagined himself and is more afraid than ever. Luckily there's a few ponies in the land of Equestria that will try and help him feel at home.

Note: this story is a huge rewrite of my old fic: A New Magic in Ponyville because the old story had a lot of problems and I had a bunch of new ideas to improve it. So many that I decided it would be better to completely redo it. So enjoy the new and improved story of Void Crystal.

Wordplay is amazing when it comes to creating his works of fiction, but recently he's been feeling like that's all he's good for. His family has been trying to tell him otherwise but to no avail. But when his friend pixel wavelength calls him and several other ponies to help her deal with a crisis that threatens the entire internet, the adventure that unfolds may help him learn he's great for more than his works of fiction.

An accidental encounter with a certain six mares allows one stallion, whose lived next to the Everfree forest for years, suddenly gives him the opportunity to change it all. But all isn't well for him with a dark and tragic past still haunting him and his new life being tormented with uncertainty and one evil mare. Can Twilight and her friends, and maybe a few other ponies, do anything to help him?

This story begins some time before the season 4 finale.
