Well... gotta say that with my usual inactivity on this site now it is kinda surprising. Not saying I've given up writing or anything, just haven't been nearly proactive in making up new stories/chapters as I would have been half a year ago. Mainly, I'm just very busy. I have three jobs, working on a thesis project for my Biomedical Engineering Masters, writing five stories at once right now, and working on a joint project with another writer on this site (that will come up later).

Well, after watching that fan fiction 100th episode special of MLP, I decided to buckle down and shoot out the first idea I had from it. With a little up from my trusty editors (all of whom have links on my main page and deserve many watchers), I was able to get this ready. Shorter than usual, only a bit over 5k words, but hey, call it speed writing.

While I know many people may be sick of the fan requests at this point, it's less of how a story will develop and more of what one I should pursue first. Because honestly, I have outlines for all of them, artwork for all of them, and will probably write all of them at some point in time. The whole purpose of this short hiatus is to write something DIFFERENT, but there are so many different kinds of different that I need to know what would be most interesting form of different to read.

So, quick story to start. I was coming back from my semi-job interview today, for my third job, and I was stopped by my professor. He smiled and asked how I was doing, me currently holding two monsters and a cup of coffee. I proceeded to tell him everything I accomplished the past 48 hours, then followed by saying I would need twice that to get half way through the remainder of my work. He smiled and said, "I'm glad to see you're growing up Kevin."

Kind of glad for what won and REALLY glad that I asked the question the way I did, seeing as the song I had originally was the one with Kamina, the one my pre-reader shot down like the duckhunt dog. Well, I was half surprised, which is fitting considering the winners. For those of you who don't know, I tally the points by those who vote, then by those who up-vote them, because not everyone comments but up-voting is almost synonymous for voting in favor of. In fact, that's exactly what it means. However, if someone says two options, I count points for both favors without extra tallies. Can't have two presidents and all that.
