I've done a lot of tweaking of The Tides Have Turned, but this change is particularly important because it alters a plot point. I also tweaked a scenery description in chapter 1 yesterday.

Recently, I've been thinking too hard about my issues with A New World, A New Way. I've decided to write them down here just to get it off my chest.

• The Poképhilia. I would be able to tolerate this, since it's not the only thing the story is about, if it wasn't for the fact that the story keeps hammering the point home by vilifying the Pokémon Rangers and other canon characters.

I've made a lot of small tweaks to it since it was published, but I've rewritten most of the last scene because I didn't like how it flowed originally. I've decided to save a piece of information originally mentioned in it for later.

Chapter 1 involved too many characters. In hindsight, I should have had Jay and Delle save Pearl from the Lanturn directly, but I'm not sure if it's worth rewriting it. I'll make do with what I've done, but I just want to get through the afternoon of day one so I can get to the themes I want to explore.

I already made a thread about this in the Newverse group, but it's not very active.

Events in chapter 2 that I haven't written yet may bump The Tides Have Turned up to a T rating with a death warning.

• I didn't want to use the "A New World, A New X" title format because I thought it was boring, but I wanted something evocative of it that conveyed the idea of change. I initially chose "The Tides Are A-Changing" before settling on The Tides Have Turned.
