Apologies for the three-week break. I didn't realize until the chapter was already published that I'd written over 10,000 words, twice the size of a normal chapter. (And my OCD does not miss a chance to remind me every time I look at it! ) Unfortunately, breaking the chapter in half leaves me with one chapter that's basically filler/staging the plot, and one chapter that has all the eventful stuff.
