Where are my manners?

My name is Spencer. I am 21 years old and I reside in North Carolina (but I'm originally from California.) Aside from being in the pony fandom for almost four years, (almost four years? holy crap!) I'm also into Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, and a few other things. :P I'm also a bit of an anime freak, I have been since I was 6 (thanks Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!) I'm also a NASCAR fan and a little bit of a baseball and hockey fan. I have a weird obsession with action, fantasy and romantic stories for whatever reason. :P I can also be pretty lazy (I'm not too proud of that...) but I do try to get things done. I am also a bit of a heavy metal fan. I would have to say my top three favorite bands would be Slipknot, Anthrax and Amaranthe. I am also a REALLY amateur writer, so if I could get some help when I do write some stuff for here, that'd be much appreciated.

Quick Bio:
Bolt is very interesting, he doesn't really look too much like a stallion, but he is one. He's a part of a regular family in Ponyville. His father is a Pegasus and his mother is an Earth Pony. Bolt is the oldest child to his younger sister, Midnight, who is 17. He enjoys listening to and performing music. He's pretty athletic, but he can run out of breath pretty quickly. He has been told by his friends that he has a big, caring heart and that he is a joy to be around. Despite this, he's had a bit of a depression for some time now. He doesn't know how it began, it just did. However, he keeps his head up in every situation and keeps on smiling.

Midnight is Bolt's younger sister, despite her name, she's pretty upbeat. While very supportive of her brother and vice versa, she can drive him up a wall. She can be persistent at times, but a kind and caring soul. She often views Bolt as a role-model because of how kind of a pony he can be and she tries to do the same. Despite her being the youngest sibling, she's mature beyond her age.
