2349307 Personally, I hated Tirek from G4 and "Twilight's Kingdom" drove me to watch the original MLP pilot from the 80's, "Rescue at Midnight Castle". And I liked it. Tirek was way more badass in that one, in my opinion. And, dare I say it, but I liked Alicorn Twilight because it was like delivering a message that hard work is its own reward or that it pays off in the end. ...I had seen Disney's The Princess and the Frog seven times prior to watching the episode.

Seasons 3,4 and 5 did have good ideas just executed like total crap.

Tirek was just typical OP badass who brought out the Super Saiyan Ponies (a terrible idea).

Twlights becoming an Alicorn as was Discord reforming where rushed.

Spreading the message of friendship was a good idea on paper, however the writers turned it to self rightious dribble.

And they NEVER should have made Starlight Glimmer join the Mane 6!

2349305 At least my reasons for picking it apart weren't because of that. I just wanted to point out the flaws in writing and that using the word "Friendship" in a series title isn't the best way to showcase that the series is about learning friendship lessons. That and I wanted to see the buildup of friendship and count up how many lessons were betrayed in "A Canterlot Wedding" and that I tried to call out bronies for Alicorn Twilight and beyond.
