Twilight Sparkle – the prized acolyte of Queen Celestia. Bright and brilliant, the young maren has but one goal in mind: to advance the Harmonic sciences of Equestria to levels accomplished only once before by Starswirl himself.

But despite her years of study and devotion, the world itself seemed to be against such a goal. At every turn, something blocked each plan and stomped out each project before they could even get in motion.

With her time running out before the dreaded age of child birthing, Twilight focused on nothing but her life goal. Each failure grew her desperation, pushing her further into isolation and forcing wilder ideas regardless of consequences.

Until the Queen brought a final stop to it all, gently ordering Twilight to take a moment to breathe and live outside of papers. Unable to contain her obsession, Twilight follows the Queen’s command. She heads to an insignificant backwater town in the hopes of resuming her projects, out from the ever-watchful eye of her mentor.

Unbeknownst to herself, this single, simple action sets into motion a series of events that lead her closer to her goals, serving to spark the journey needed to solve her past roadblocks.

All she needs to do is make some friends.
