Both of these tools are found in the editing bar on the top of the chapter you are writing, as well as in every comment box and private message box you will encounter. For example, when you go to write the reply to this message, look at the top of the box. Do you see the editing tools? They begin with the large "B" for "Bold" and continue to the right.

Now, do you see the one that looks like a closed quote? If you click that, these appear (without the stars):[quote*]Text Here[/quote*]

Anything that you place between those two "open quote" and "closed quote" brackets (where I wrote "Text Here") will appear in a quote box. Like this:

This is text which I have placed in a Quote Box.

As for your second question, it is answered on the same editing bar. Look on the editing bar. Do you see a little window that looks like mountains and the sun? That is the "Image Tool." When you click that, you'll be taken to a little dialog box. It will ask you for the web address of whatever image you'd like to place there. Be sure that you have the URL of the actual image, not just the page it is found on. You can find that by clicking the image and choosing the "Open Image in a New Window" command. Use that URL, and copy/paste it into the URL space on the Image Tool. If you do it right, the image will appear in the grey checkerboard. Hit the green button and your image will be placed in the story where your cursor was.

Best of luck!

Hello again, Descendant!:twilightsheepish:

Now that I've browsed a few works on here, I have a couple more questions for you regarding somethings I noticed that I hope you'll be able to answer:

1. Throughout some of the works, I've noticed a grey textbox that, while typically encasing the Author's Notes, has sometimes popped up in other parts of the work. The most notable example I can sight is in "Chapter 1--A Thousand Years" of I Think I Can Remember by >>just a tree. Towards the beginning of this chapter, the grey textbox in question was used to enclose the text of a letter to Twilight from Princess Luna. Long story short, I was wondering how I could utilize this textbox to the same effect.

2. I've also noticed that some works can incorporate pictures into the middle of their narrative and I'd like to know how to do this too.
