Sweetie Belle was desperately running from the ferocious, animate wooden teeth when she heard the giggling.
She almost tripped with outrage as she realized that somepony was making mock of her peril. The fact that the little unicorn’s trip caused her to tumble right through a tree and the hedgerow behind it broke her immersion, leaving her lucid enough to recognize that she was dreaming.
So, I was informed today today that someone had commissioned - or just plain painted out of some volunteer spirit - some art for A Requiem for Lost Libraries.

Of course, she usually said this after six carafes of white zinfadel and twelve cups of high-octane coffee. Most of what she said in this mindset could be discounted or ignored. The buzzing that came from her addled lips were more of a carrier wave than a signal by the time she got to that altered state.

What can I say? Working within the confines of a formal writing contest apparently brings out the troll in me.
OK, in the interest of truth in advertising, I've set my Trixie and Sunset stories to 'hiatus'. Because I haven't been working on them, and a story can only sit neglected and un-updated for so long without 'incomplete' becoming a mockery of the plain meaning of the word.
