I am currently in the process of writing a fairly hefty essay on the topic of crossovers, and why so many of them end up as badfics. I post this blog seeking your advice.

I have recently had cause to think about a particular breed of badfic. Namely, the lesser spotted A Canterlot Wedding fixfic.
Leicester City Football Club have just won the Premier League. The odds of this at the start of the season were five thousand to one. To put that into perspective, the odds of the Loch Ness monster being confirmed unequivocally to exist are are five hundred to one. In other words, it was considered ten times more likely that someone would fish out Nessy. Elvis being discovered alive gets you odds of two thousand to one.
But they did it, and I send my warmest congratulations.
A rather insightful fellow, or a rather insightful lady, as the case may be, recently posted a thread on the forum of Rage Reviewers. -TGM- was inquiring about the viability of a new thread on Rage Reviews about "growing (also terrible) trends on fimfic."
Anyone who has observed the regrettable state of the feature box over the last week will likely be able to guess as to what bought this on.
I shall post this recommendation here, as I found out after writing it that it does not qualify for Rage Spotlight, its original intended destination.

Additional warning: beware this site until you have seen the episodes; people will spoil unapologetically at this point, and someone is undoubtedly working on the most spoiler filled fic that can be put into one thousand words even as I type. AGAIN, SPOILERS BELOW BREAK.

A new video preview of the season finale has been released. As is oft the case with such, it contains hefty spoilers. Normally, this would not be a thing, as the video can be easily avoided.
Sadly, however, there are many here and on ED that believe these spoilers to be fair game, and are spreading them liberally. I advise deactivation of group notices for the time being.

It is my hope, on this thoroughly miserable November evening, beset with that which Manchester produces most, endless soaking drizzle, that I find you all in good health. As I put the kettle on for a nice mug of tea, it occurred to me that it is one month to the day when I published my very first Rage Review. While memories of it are still fresh, I felt it wise to look back upon it.
