So I wrote a little story in the aftermath of the new Captain America controversy. I personally don't like the concepts behind the new comic line but Free Speech is part of the values the character is supposed to represent so I suggested to people that if they did not like the idea of Captain America being a member of Hydra, that they just don't buy the blasted comic book!

The issue that caused all the controversy and Death Threats even? (!) Sold out and went into second printing.

Writing fanfiction is dependent upon a very fickle muse. Sometimes she's whispering a great Sunset Shimmer fic in your ear, and the next day she demands you work on Naruto: The Pokeninja ... or some such thing. And other days she's silent. And sometimes the world is screaming so loudly you can't hear her at all.

I enjoy writing when I can and I've got a load of fics out there that need my attention. I hope to give them all their proper due but it may take time.

So the first few days on site have passed. The first chapter of my first MLP story has been surprisingly well received. It's a bit unnerving. The commentary has reminded me once again of the expectations of a good writer. I only hope that as the second chapter goes into editing that it will continue to be an interesting tale well told.
