In a jarring change of events, Princess Celestia decided to crown Starlight Glimmer as a new princess of Equestria. Her dominion? The old village she used to rule with an iron fist, but now, expanded to be a large kingdom designed for any creature to live in it, no matter their species or origin.

Naturally, Starlight is apprehensive about her new rule, as well as unsure about what to do. Will she fall back into her old ways and try to harm her subjects, especially with her new power? Will she start a multi-nation war? Will she meet the all-powerful being who is responsible for her destiny? Only time will tell as Starlight braves the challenges of being a leader once again.

Tagged AU because I haven't completely kept up with the series so there will probably be multiple things I write that go against the actual show.

And, just like any job, it has its downsides: having to hold attention for what seems like forever, straining muscles one too many times, and not being home very often are just a few of the inconveniences being a Wonderbolt brings. However, Dash has gotten used to all of this by now.

After much convincing from Twilight, Sunset Shimmer decides returning to Equestria for a day wouldn't be such a bad idea. After all, a quiet afternoon with one of her closest friends wouldn't be much of a problem... right?

Well, possibly so, if Sunset didn't return as an alicorn. Now, Twilight has more questions than answers, and is determined to figure out everything and not let Sunset leave until she's finished.

Now, as Princess Celestia thinks Sunset's a princess and Twilight seems to be continuously persuading her to get her to stay, Sunset can't help but wonder: will she ever make it back home?

Applejack was a bit hesitant and confused when the no good conman, Flim, appeared at her front door, asking for advice. Naturally, she turned away from him, still bitter about everything he has done to her family and friends in the past.

As days go by, however, Applejack comes to terms with Flim. And, she quickly realizes that just like ponies can change, hearts can change, too.

As a princess of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle has had a lot of opportunities to talk and negotiate with leaders from other lands: dragons, changelings, and even zebras have spent some time with her, and all the deals she made with them have been quick and easy.

Now, it turns out that the king from Llamaland finally learned that Equestria crowned Princess Twilight a while back and wants to pay her a visit.

There's a reason the other princesses have never brought him up.

Fluttershy and Soarin have been through a lot together as a couple, and it would be an understatement to say they think about each other often. Unfortunately, he is always training and going around Equestria to preform, so they can only communicate through letters the majority of the time.

However, when Spitfire decides to let the Wonderbolts take off for a few days, Soarin knows exactly what he's going to do with his time off: see Fluttershy and show her how much he appreciates her.

Since Trixie presented Starlight with a necklace and the two went out, they became closer and closer as each day passed, soon venturing into a happy, healthy relationship. Now, with tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala, Starlight is excited to take her marefriend along and have a romantic night together.

However, midway through the Gala, a rumor spreads that Trixie has went up to Prince Blueblood's bedroom and is having an affair with him.

The Ponyville jeweler, Lavender Brooch, is getting ready to pack up after a long day at work. It had been particularly busy, and she was more than eager to return home.

Her efforts came to a halt when a mare she remembered as Trixie walked through the doors, stepping tentatively up to the counter. With a red face, she requests to be shown the most beautiful necklace to buy for the most beautiful mare. Naturally, Lavender is inclined to help.

After recognizing Ember's beauty and grace, Garble starts slowly falling in love with the new Dragon Lord. He decides to show this to her by, out of the blue, trying to pick her up.

It goes just as well as you'd expect.

After the Crystalling, Starlight Glimmer starts to feel quite fond of Sunburst. She's always thinking about him and feels her stomach explode in butterflies whenever he comes to mind. She is constantly hoping from a letter from him, and has a strange desire to be close to him.

She approaches her mentor, Twilight Sparkle, questioning if these feelings are normal for friendship, or if their friendship is... special for whatever reason.

A brief discussion had by Twilight and Starlight with a few slightly humorous scenes.
