… I went up to the filly’s bedroom. It was bigger than mine. Ostentatiously so. It was maybe as big as both mine and the small kitchenette that I hadn’t had a chance or the will to clean in the last couple of days. There was a queen-sized canopy bed that met me when I entered with periwinkle- and sky-blue blankets and covers. A teddy bear with both its eyes still attached sat rigid against the pillows. Today I watched my best friend have her heart broken.
It didn't happen all at once. It happened slowly, and even a little gracefully, if you can believe in such a thing. It happened in Canterlot, on a warm sunny afternoon, in a non-descript outdoor cafe, the kinds that have the flat-topped parasols for their outdoor seating. I was there by sheer coincidence. She was there by design.
To commemorate the occasion, as well as celebrate the #MyPastIsNotToday2025 event, I went ahead and created an orchestral arrangement of the song. I hope you all enjoy!
At the beginning of March, my grandmother passed away.
That's partly why I haven't been active this month, though I'm loath to attribute grief to a lack of output. It feels like an excuse, and moreover, takes away from my wanting to keep my life relatively private on here - so it's better not to attribute it to that.
In a few posts, I've spoken about being a composer and musician. Some people know that from my time on Elements of Justice, which has its own OST video showcasing some of my work. But I've done music pieces outside of it, too - just never posted them anywhere.

Well, we've finally done it. Hit another quarter-century year. Myself being a quarter-century years old, I'd like to say that I feel a certain poetic synergy about that, but then I'd be leaning a bit too hard into the poetry.
There really are no words for today.
Nor for tomorrow.
I'm not sure I'll have any in the near future.
