Either way these characters know the future of Equestria and the major characters.. A number of them don't even bother trying to protect the timeline. OTHER ALL START OH MY GOSH can't affect the time line and change things.. Almost all of them drop that within a chapter or two if not immediately

Star Trek/ MLP seem to be a very mixed bag. One stands out in my mind though Twilight tries to stun Riker with a blast of magic which he dodges to then stun Twilight with a phaser.
From the way magic is shown in the show its a blast of light when released. So Riker somehow without killing himself broke the speed of light momentarily to dodge then stun Twilight
