It has long been the subject of dreams; for earth ponies to harness the power of the unicorns' active magic, for the unicorns to leap into the air and feel free as their pegasus bretheren, and for the pegasi to have the immense strength earth ponies are known for.

For some time after Luna was purified from her Nightmare Moon form, she has been experiencing acute amnesia. Memories of her past have been fading from her mind, her happiest memories. Unsure of the cause, Celestia suggests she go visit Komodo University, situated deep in the frozen north. There, the prestigious yet virtually unknown university harbors a deep secret.

They have managed to create hybrid ponies, something Luna attempted over 2000 years ago but ultimately failed to do. They created the arions, earth ponies with a short unicorn horn and the strength to tear craters in the sacred earth; pegacorns, unicorns that were given the power of flight at the cost of their leg muscles being in a state of atrophy; and chollima, pegasi that were blessed with the strength of earth ponies but cursed with the energy of both races.

Curiosity abound, Luna journeys off to see these hybrids for herself. But what she doesn't realize is that they harbor a great secret, one which will lead her into a grand war that nopony knew was even brewing, one which may just lead Equestria into greater chaos that even Discord could dream of.

A few months after David Robert Jones was defeated, Fringe Division has been relatively inactive. A couple of odd cases come up once in a while, earning Agent Olivia Dunham her paycheck. Peter is still in the business of consulting for the FBI, and has even dipped into mad science a little. Astrid Farnsworth continues to assist Walter Bishop in his crazy experiments.

As for Walter? He has since become a brony, after Olivia's niece Ella has introduced the series to him. What does a mad scientist and brony combination do on a rainy day? Make his fantasies come true. Sadly, there is only so much he can do, until a new fringe case comes up.

A woman in Logan International Airport suddenly and partially transforms, inexplicably, into a horse. Normally, this would be any ordinary case for Fringe Division, but then Walter discovers something in his old files that turns everything they knew upside down. There is a third universe, one you, the reader, and I, the author, know very well...

This story does not take place in the Amber Universe. Rather, it takes place in a different, "Cyan" universe, where different choices have been made. There's a special prize for those who can find them; for every truth you find that either originates from the Blue or Amber universes, or is completely new altogether, you get to submit one of your OCs to the story. Mysterious chunks of a majestic civilization suddenly begin landing everywhere in Equestria, in every town... save for Ponyville, who gets quite the surprise. A lonely soldier named Rogue appears, searching for "Mu". Tales of his extremely violent behavior quickly spread through Equestria, and nopony can stop him, not even Celestia.

And then a savior arrives as a blue shooting star, streaking across the night sky. Calling himself Mega Man, he seeks to bring Rogue back to his world, and possibly take Mu with him. He is armed with very powerful technology, things ponies have never seen before... and some strange beings, who call themselves Wizards, that can fuse with other beings, like ponies.

A long battle between friendship and loneliness will soon come to an end. The only problem is, both of them are packing reinforcements...

Author's Notes
This story takes place in quite a few perspectives. It's Geo's if "winged horses" or "Air Display" or some non MLP-ish vocabulary is used, whereas if "Pegasi" or "blue floating panel" is used, it's a pony's. I figure it's important to tell you, the reader, because you may be confused at my inconsistent choice of words.
