About Writing And The Contexts Words Convey · 7:27pm Apr 30th, 2016

So I wrote a short story today and it got me thinking about how much we can convey with a simple set a words and how words that mean the same thing convey different feelings and ideas about said thing. I bring this up because my first line in this draft I wrote is this.

"I had been consumed by it, I had let it consume me. I just needed to know, I had to know why, why something like this happened, why it always happened."

So, we'll start off with my most recent failure to end a story in a satisfying way for most of you.

Progress at last · 6:21am Nov 6th, 2015

So I'm finally at the editing step for the latest chapter of Swoon. (It's like 2k words, don't get too hyped.) and it wasn't as horrible an experiance as I remember it being. So, as usual, I wanted to pick your brains about what I should update next. HR? K. I'll get to work on that. In the meantime though, I made a promise I would do Nanowrimo this year, so that'll be delaying any updates by a fair bit.

Glad to be back, more or less sorta.

Inkwell · 5:54am Oct 23rd, 2015

I don't know why I wrote this.

~-------------~

There was a pony who lived at the edge of Ponyville. His name was Inkwell. Inkwell did not live at the edge of the ville because it was secluded. He did not like seclusion, though he often practiced it. He did not live there because it was quiet either, though that at least was a boon to the home. He lived there because it was cheap, and he did not have the money to move to the center of town.

The kind of thing you rant about at 1 o'clock in the morning · 7:08am Oct 2nd, 2015

I'm right now installing a game called beginner's guide. I bought it for eight bucks on Steam. It was made by the people who made Stanley's Parable, but that's not why I'm buying it. I'm buying it because its about someone, as far as the trailer has led me to believe.

So I've been catching up on the past two seasons. · 7:53pm Sep 30th, 2015

Some of these are very good, I've especially enjoyed the Spike episodes.

Mainly because I'm realizing how much I'm like him.

Twilight - "You keep saying you let us down but we keep saying you didn't. The only way to feel better about it is if you forgive yourself."

Me- "Yeah Spike! You just- ... Oh. Right."

Everyone is being pulled around by thin strands of lost meaning that were tied around our limbs when we weren't really looking. We wonder how much of who we are is dictated by our past and how much is truly our decision and how much is decided by other people. And as I'm yanked back and forth by my strands I can't help but wonder if I should hate the people who are very forward about tying a new string to me. Of course they seek to control me but is that inherently bad? The decision's I think

Houses Inseperable · 7:18pm Sep 22nd, 2015

There were two houses built together, one door did split them twain.

For though they were their own construction, each one could fill the other's pain.

Should a shingle slip its place, or some screw come loose.

Each could see the other's problem, each could fill the blues.

~

There were two people, sharing all their split homes shame.

Connected by a single pathway but feeling all alone the same.

And when one would lose their temper, or the other might lose their heart.
