So I've put Schootaloo's Secret on hiatus because I've realized I've had writer's block for about two years now (I've thrown out six chapter rewrites so far after realizing they were just bad or I wrote myself into a corner and couldn't find a way out, and those are just the revisions I've kept track of with a version number!) I haven't abandoned the story, and I've now realized I do better if I don't follow cannon, so yay for that!

So I’ve reclassified Scootaloo's Secret. My rationale is: Mature for character death, gore for the blood, both of which are already present within the story, so if you've already read my story and are fine with what I've already got you should be fine! I will of course include a warning before the next new chapter so that any readers who missed my reclassification aren't unduly surprised, cause, you know, changeling war.

So the entire story thus far has been leading up to a confrontation between changelings and ponies, like in the show, but unlike the show I was always planning some violence. I just now realized I can't write an action scene like some of the other stories I've read that had some violence but were still E rated. As such I'd like to ask you what rating I should change it to.

Just thought I'd let you know that my story isn't dead, I'm just having a bit of a hard time writing it. I've gone through so many different versions of the next chapter that I've lost count. I'm sorry it's taking so long and I only hope I still have some readers when I finally get it right!
