One night, on April 28th, 65 A.B. (After Banishment), an old, retired captain of the Royal Guard passed away peacefully in his chair by the fire. In his lap sat a journal. It was new, as if it were bought for a specific purpose, and contained many events of his life, written in the months preceding his death. Ponies today think of the journal as little more than a myth, seeing as nopony that has read it is still alive today. But when one pony finds the journal, she cannot help but open it. Read along with her, and see one of Equestria's most horrible events from the perspective of one who saw it firsthoof.

When Fluttershy finds a page of a clopfic containing Spike and a certain white mare, the page finds itself in the hooves of many ponies it's been kept from. All of the clues seem to point to Spike, but is there more to this page than meets the eye?

Author's Note: Contains lines of some saucy material. Nothing to clop over, but it refers heavily to something you'd find in a clopfic. Don't read if you're offended by this sort of thing. I only rated it teen because it's pretty tame and there's very little of it, but if it's too much I can rate it mature and add up a "sex" tag.

Derpy is eating a blueberry muffin, which doesn't seem very exciting. But for one of the blueberries, he sees a normal old nom-nom as a daring attempt on his life, and he strives for survival in an epic tale of reminiscence and philosophy.

Naturally, it doesn't go as planned.
