You'll receive a private message from one of the moderators and story readers as soon as they can get to you. If it is rejected, they'll let you know why. Don't worry if it is, we all get rejected... even me! Just work on what they suggest. If it is accepted, then you'll be told that it will appear soon!

I see A Starry Nightmare listed here on the page! Sorry that I was a little late with the reply. You may want to reply to the story reader/editor who approved it and say "Thanks!" That's polite and they work hard. Congratulations on getting your first work here on the site!:twilightsheepish:

I'm very glad that I could help. Best of luck with your story!

1645026 Thanks again you have been great! If you want to read the story when it gets submitted it will be called "A Starry Nightmare". I can't finish this without saying it one more time, you are the best thank you so much!:derpytongue2::twilightsmile: couldn't have done it without u. I'd just be sitting here thinking " how did I do that again?"

Do me a favor? If you want to "talk" to someone, the only way to be sure that they get the message is by hitting the "Reply" button on the message that you want to comment on. It is the little box in the top-right of each comment. It looks like two little arrows: ">>" If you hit that, it sends a notification to the person who made the original comment, letting them know you are trying to have a conversation with them. I'm glad that I stopped back, or I would not have gotten your message!

Yes, you need to add genre tags for your story. These tags are found when you create a story, and you can go back and change them at any time. You do this by clicking on your story. When the page for the story comes up, look above the title. Do you see the tab marked "Edit?" If you click on that you'll be taken back to the page you saw when you were first making the story. Scroll down until you see the tags listed under the descriptions. Click the little buttons next to the tags you want and which best describe your story.

You want to let your readers know what the story involves, so you want to click the ones that best tells them what genre and narrative the story presents.

The Ratings:
Everyone- Nothing more than what you'd find in an episode.
Teen- Slightly more than what you'd want a thirteen year old to see.
Mature- Blood, gore, and depictions of sex. Use this on pics that go into the range of what only adults should see.

Genres:
Romance- Stories about falling in love, being in love, losing love, finding new love. You know... lovey dovey stuff!
Tragedy- Bad things happen in unexpected ways. The foal dies, the military dad isn't coming home, mother is sick and there is no cure. You know... drama!
Sad- Designed to make you cry. Deep, personal issues are uncovered, and old wounds open again. Sniffling stuff!
Dark- Spokey scary stuff! Also, macabre stuff. Stuff that shows us dystopian worlds. In short, this should make you feel uneasy.
Comedy- These stories are designed to make you laugh!
Random- Ducks.
Crossover- Any story that combines MLP with another canon. "My Little Pony Meets Game of Thrones" would have this tag.
Adventure- Basically, a story that takes our heroes off exploring new places and doing mighty deeds.
Slice of Life- Stories that take place during the daily doings of the characters, such as "Around the House" fics.
Alternate Universe- Stories that take place with our characters, but not in exactly the same reality as the show. A story taking place in a world where Spike never hatched, for example, and Twilight therefore never had an assistant.
Human- Stories where humans appear in Equestrian, ponies come to our earth, or where the cast is shown as human instead of ponies.
Anthro- Stories where the ponies walk like humans, or look more human than pony. I don't get it either.

Remember, you can mix and match these tags, so use all that apply. Don't use ones just to get noticed, as that will get you reported. I hope this helped!:twilightsheepish:
