Just an aside, my writing this weekend was interrupted by a local convention, at which I heard about an MLP ccg tourney. I was interested in seeing if they had any Derpy cards, as my neice is a huge fan. They did, and I got a pic of one to show her to see if she'd like to play the game. Turns out the name on the card was Bubbly Mare. She asked why they didn't call her Derpy. Just gotta ask if anyone out there is really offended by the name. Seems kinda silly, or maybe it's just me.... feedback

That happens to everyone. Look at half of my stories—that's half the reason why they are so large. Just make sure that your central narrative is strong and that you don't go overboard with your prose and you'll be fine. You may want to split them into multiple chapters if you reach 15K, though. 7,500 words is pretty comfortable for a chapter size.

Okay.... maybe this is taking longer than I thought.... my first story for this site and I started with a short story that seems to have blown into a Stephen King-style nightmare..... I'm at 14,000 words and I'm seriously looking at breaking a 15K. Thank gawd I'm on the last chapter!!!
