Author note: I'm putting this out here now. This is very much a reflection of my own feelings and my own struggles, so in that way it is a self insertion. All elements of the story are based off of my life. I hope you enjoy.

Twilight hasn't been right since discovering the history of two long forgotten races, and her subsequent excursion to the last of their ruins. After the sudden, and violent death of Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Fluttershy, Twilight announces that all is complete to resurrect the Alicorns and Draconquus. Rainbow Dash rushes off to the Castle of Friendship to confront Twilight, and put an end to her quest.

Note: It's been a while since I've actually posted a story. Hope you enjoy. Fair warning, this is a grimdark. The concept came to me while I was at the story today, and I thought, why not? I've got some time.

Celestia has much on her plate. Foreign Diplomats to please, a Nation to run, and little ponies to keep happy and safe. It would help if she could rely on her sister, however Luna's archaic speaking keeps her from holding court as almost no one can understand a word she says.

It's high time Celestia did something about that.

It's rare that the Royal Family gets together for anything these days. So when Sapphire Shores come to Ponyville as Cadence and Shining Armor visit from the Chrystal Empire, it's a no brainer that for one night, all royalty are going to take the night off.

One problem though. The babysitter for Flurry Heart canceled.

Queen Chrysalis has been wanting revenge for everything for a while now, and has decided this was the night she was going to attack. However, instead of a fearce battle that would lead to either victory or defeat, she was given an interesting wager.

If she can watch Flurry Heart for one evening and not lose her mind, she would be given Equestria without a fight.

Sounds legit.

Shining Armor and his over worked wife finally had a day to themselves. With Twilight watching Flurry Heart, they enjoy a day at the spa, and are about to finish off the night with the one thing that Shining Armor loved the most, only second to his wife. Pro Wrestling.

The day was perfect. What could possible go wrong?

Twilight has a mission. She's going undercover to the Turnip Grill to see how normal ponies work in the food industry.

Spike, however doesn't really care all that much, and while Twilight's gone, hangs out with his new friend Discord.

As I sit upon my icy pond, a young filly comes to talk to me. It's not often that I get visitors, and she's so sweet I want to show her my Garden.

And we could play and be happy there. Forever.

Drone 319, Queen Chrysalis's top spy in Ponyville, finds himself hovering over Ciderfest tied to a balloon. Why? He doesn't know. When asked what he's doing, he says the first thing that comes to mind to keep his cover.

"I'm a Zeppelin."

Twilight offers a Treaty to Chrysalis to end hostilities between Changeling and Pony kind. Turns out that Changelings aren't the first to get this treaty.
