I'll start with how I became a Brony. So, back in 2011, before I joined the Herd, I wasn't a big fan of "little girlie shows" like Barbie, Bratz, or (here's a shocker) My Little Pony. That opinion still hasn't changed...with the exception of MLP: FiM, of course.
But I was a fan of Death Battle, though. I loved Death Battle to...well, death, and all of the battles were AWESOME. And the Starscream VS Rainbow Dash episode wasn't an exception at all.
I wasn't exactly rooting for her destruction, though. I was kinda hoping that Starscream would win, but after being proved otherwise, I was like, Hmm.... So a pony--a baby horse girl toy--has beaten a Deceptacon? Maybe My Little Pony isn't so bad after all. I'll give it a shot!
My first episode was Luna Eclipsed. I didn't exactly know the character's names, but I did recognize Rainbow Dash, even though she was wearing a Shadowbolt costume. I didn't like it very much, but my brother wanted to give it a shot, and since I wasn't against the show (I saw Rainbow Dash kick a giant morphable robot's ass! How could I ever go against the show?), I decided, Eh, what the hay.
And from then on, I was hooked. I became a Brony.
...Well, actually, I wasn't a real Brony...yet. I wasn't that hooked on the show, and after watching A Canterlot Wedding (when I was watching it on Netflix it only had episodes up to Season 2, so...yeah), I kinda forgot about the show for a while. And then, for a while, my love for the show was on and off.
It was only in mid 2012 that my love for the show rekindled, when Season 3 came up on Netflix. Then my little sister wanted to watch Equestria Girls, but I wasn't too keen on it, so I went into my bedroom for most of the movie, only watching the beginning and end. And then my love switched off again.
But then I came across a video from Tats TopVideos called Top 22 Non Gaming Creepypastas 2014 (UNCENSORED). I'll admit I'm a little bit of a horror guy (aren't we all?), so I decided to take a look. When I got to the entry that talked about Cupcakes, my love for the show rekindled once more, and this time for good.
And I've never looked back.
Of course, I'm not really public about this, so only a handful of my friends know about this. But, since I'm basically talking to a bunch of Bronies right now, I'm fine with talking about it.
