I have not had a day off in nine days. By my next day off, that number will be thirteen days. I have not made any progress on my writing. None of this is a complaint, but I am extremely tired and I haven't really managed to get any writing done. 's just how it's been this week.

Progress has been slow. That is part of why I am writing this post, actually. In the past week, all I've managed to do is set out a few character profiles, and start trying to figure out the plot. I'm stuck on one particular plot point, and have come up with three possible solutions:
1) Stay stuck until I figure it out,
2) Skip the details and plan the rest of the plot as though the issue has been resolved in hopes that I'll figure it out somewhere along

So for anyone who's been spying on my almost dead account for god knows how long waiting for an update to A Duet of Hearts, I have decided to take it down until I have finished writing at least the first draft. Once that's all sound, I'll read through the whole thing as a fic and make any edits that I feel need to be made. Contrary to unpopular belief, I am not dead. Also, by the way, I just came to a massive realisation. Rainbow Dash appeared to show a prehensile mane in Newbie Dash. This wasn't a new thing, though; in The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, we see her do the same thing when mimicking Twilight. Interesting.

For those reading this who don't know, Flurry Heart is the child of Shining Armor and Cadence.

Am I the only one who thinks she's hideous? That's a horrific colour scheme! Although, I can't hate her too much. She has made me add a drop-in to my headcanon, which has been helpful, because for those who don't know, I very much enjoy the 'Long-suffering Immortal' trope.

To all of you following me, happy new year! If you're following me waiting for another Duet of Hearts update, I am very sorry to report that due to family showing up for literally the entire holiday, I haven't been able to write. I am considering putting it on hiatus until I an write the entire thing, then releasing a chapter weekly once it's all done; please give me your thoughts on that idea.

I'll probably have the next chapter of A Duet of Hearts done by January! Once again, however, I would like to offer sincere apologies to anyone waiting for the next chapter. It's really awful that I'm so negligent of my own work, but hey; we can blame the education system for that.

Y'know, I thought S4's finale was good. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty cool. But this knocks it so far out of the park that I'm beginning to question whether physics applies anymore. I feel like Season 5 has legitimately been the absolute best season so far, even surpassing S2 - my old favourite. Fluttershy is no longer a character I roll my eyes at, we've got a new mane cast member, the finales feel like they're getting less and less 'eighties' with every season, buckets full of character

I have no drive to do anything anymore, so progress will be slow. For that, I am sorry. At some point, I will continue, but I have no clue when that'll be. Really sorry if anyone was interested in the story.
