This story is a sequel to Flames

Seven long years of war and the fighting has yet to cease. On the plus side, we have our first Dragon Queen, and most of our alliances are stronger than ever. Unfortunately, it also means our enemies hate us all the more. With no end of the war in sight, I begin to wonder if dragons are really meant for the path I set us on. I look forward to proving that we are indeed ready for peace, but in the event that I am wrong... I have no plan B.

An exploration adventure, just to kinda see what was over the horizon. Just like any other, right? WRONG!

Of course I get far more than I asked for. What kind of story would it make if I just kept telling everypony and dragon that I found this place and that place? No, something just had to go askew and make everything more complicated. Why can't these things ever go smoothly?

Ending up living with ponies wasn't the plan. Not at all. Not that I really planned on leaving the Dragonlands. But perhaps i'll stay, it's not like the idea of going back to unfriendly dragons is appealing. I'm gonna record everything that happens to me, might help me remember things in time.

Anypony can travel Equestria, but only a few get to do it while making it a better place to live. Those few are City Guards, like me. I figured I'd log my journey up through the Guard rankings and unit postings with as much detail as I could. That way I could remember the good, and the bad about every place I go. I have no idea what is in my future, and I don't really want to know. Well... not everything at least.
