Not many legends involving the Lord of Chaos have happy endings. However, in the time since he befriended the Element of Kindness, more and more of them are concluding that way.

Written for Day Five of #FluttercordWeek 2020 - Wedding.

Harmony is dying. Order and chaos are out of balance. Something must be done; a sacrifice must be made.

Fluttershy knows this, but she does not accept it.

It's Fluttershy's soulmate day. This day just happens to coincide with the escape of the Lord of Chaos, Discord.

Now, she must figure out who her soulmate is and take care of a bad guy at the same time.

The universe has terrible timing.

Fluttershy is chosen to visit Tirek in Tartarus and warm him up to the idea of talking to his brother, Scorpan, again. While she's there, she figures she'll try and uncover and understand his motives for his previous evil actions, but this plan might not go down as smoothly as she wants it to.

After many, many years of no contact, Fluttershy's mother, Sky Heart, has invited her to dinner at her house in Cloudsdale. Fluttershy is reluctant to, due to her mother's past abuse towards her, but she agrees. Maybe she can reconcile with her, and things between them will be better. It's wishful thinking, but Fluttershy is hopeful.

She brings Discord with her, because if she's going to be mending long-broken bonds with her mother, she wants her to meet her friends. Yes, even the ones that are immortal lords of chaos. But, as Fluttershy finds out, things won't go as she hoped.

(This oneshot takes place at least a few months after Twilight's Kingdom, and was written before season 5 came out. Reading my other story, Teenage Angst in Cloudsdale, would help give you a tiny bit of background about things referenced in this story, but it isn't necessary. Any Fluttershy/Discord is meant to be platonic, but you can read it as romantic if you want to.)

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash reflect on their families, futures, and current home situations in Cloudsdale. Unbeknownst to them, they make a life-altering decision that indirectly influences the safety of Equestria.

This oneshot ties into canon, but is set in the past.
