Since the Matrix trilogy completely justified adding two extra films to a modern classic, I figure the only course of action upon the reaction to "For Purely Scientific Reasons" is to add two more chapters. Heads will be shattered, backs will be stabbed, and your mind will never be clean again. Or perhaps that only what I think will happen since I started drinking heavily tonight.
