Made as a gift for my Berry-loving friend and moral support, Berry Punch Replies a.k.a. Goldenmercurydragon--inspired by the artwork seen here. Though originally only intended for BPR's eyes, they gave me permission to share it, and I have edited it for all to enjoy.

The war that pitted pony against pony, the conflict of Sun and Moon a thousand years before present-day Equestria, may forever mar the history books. But shortly after that war, ponies and communities had to deal with the fallout of the turmoil and conflict created in the process. One affected individual, a toughened old war hero named Lithe Wing, thought he would die alone in the heart of Equestria--his story untold. But his two grandchildren showed up just in time, in his very final hour, and yet he has so very much he wants to tell them. What will he even have the time to say?

Spurred by a Reddit fanfic prompt from PoniesAndFanfics. Something to keep faith in my big story alive as I continue to plug away at the daunting middle section without having anything to show in public. Yay for first completed fictional story!

Personally rated "Young Adult"--no explicitness, but any and all triggers short of it are on the table. I personally recommend reading this story in the Serif font.

Three worldly mares--self-identifying as the BGs (Backgrounders)--bring fun and a semblance of meaning to their oddly dysfunctional lives by carousing, canoodling, and capitalizing on chances to help the world that rejected them. However, the three share one other bizarre commonality--and once it is discovered, a more intense and insane journey begins. Life won't be the same--nor was it ever. A mystery-genre emotional roller coaster inspired by, and in tribute to, SS&E's Background Pony. Also contains significant Bee Gees and maybe other song references, if you're into that sort of thing.
