Personally, I can see both sides of it, but for myself, I choose to pick the best friends aspect. Now, I'm sure you shippers out there have TONS of reasons for why they should be together, that the episode clearly had undertones, etc. etc., but I'd like to remind you of two things.

First, I am a shipper as well. I cannot NOT have shipping in a story I write. It's just impossible.
