Orbiting Kettle

I've roasted a wealth of exotic things, All torn to ribbons at the hands of kings. Polished copper how I proudly shone, stealin' the fire of the blazing sun.

Another year, and I'm still here · 5:22pm Feb 15th, 2018

So, I'm a year older (at least officially) and none the wiser, proud in my resistance to learning anything at all.

This past year has been, one could say, complicated under certain aspects. Sometimes life gets you into a war of attrition and not much hope for improving the situation.

A Bug on a Stick - Delayed chapter 6 · 10:08am Feb 3rd, 2018

Just a short heads-up; as I have two stories to write for a deadline (my own fault, I know) and as I also have two finals coming up, the new chapter will be a bit delayed. Not sure when it will be out, but I should manage to do it before the end of the month.

About storytelling, music, and something pretty dear to me · 6:02pm Jan 29th, 2018

In the last weeks, I have, for some reason, passed a lot of time reasoning about where I come from as a writer. There are tons of influences that made me what I am, and I like to think that I'm continually learning and evolving. And yet, looking back to my past, there is one songwriter who lays (I like to think, at least) at my core. This all came together in this blog, where I intend to clarify a doubt nagging at me on one hand and tell you something about myself on the other.

Scheduling for new bug chapters · 2:23pm Jan 4th, 2018

My dearest readers,
as a servant (and a humble one, now admire me) and provider of entertainment, I have one question for my audience. Should I publish new chapters for A Bug on a Stick as soon as they are ready, or do you prefer a slightly more regular cadence?

Signal Boost: The elephant in the equine room · 1:16pm Dec 31st, 2017

While this may not be the best of ways to close down with 2017, it still is something of pivotal importance. Go read this -->post<-- from horizon. It is unpleasant but necessary. Even more so when many of us will go to parties tonight.

There will be pleasant stuff coming soon next year. In the meanwhile, stay safe and have a wonderful ending of a year.

Guter Rutsch.

Egocentric Blog Post · 9:58pm Feb 15th, 2017

"O kettle yer metal is a terrible hue
Riddled wi' holes cannae hold yer brew
Yer lids all crooked & yer sides bashed in
It'll no be long afore ye see the bin"

The Pot & Kettle - The Rumjacks

Brief and completely self-serving announcement.

As of today, I'm one year older. Well, technically it's just a day more than yesterday, but I'm sure you get the gist of it.

Economy musings, or how I think way to much about small details · 8:00pm Aug 3rd, 2016

Having a bit of free time and needing to unwind I wrote down a small idea that may be interesting.

This is me doing semi-serious thinking about a show with colorful ponies.

Cover Image ofr The Marching Madness · 8:17am Apr 24th, 2016

After a brief exchange with the awesome Razya I was finally cleared up on the fact that I may share the (slightly distrubing and perfect in that sense) Cover Image done for the Russian Translation of The Marching Madness.

So I've been selected for an anthology · 7:38pm Apr 17th, 2016

One of the stories I'm most proud of, The Marching Madness, has been translated in Russian and published in an anthology. You can find it here

The Illustration for the cover art has been done by the very talented Razya and is splendid, even if it isn't my place to publish it.

I'm alive and writing, and in search of editors · 11:47pm Mar 25th, 2016

The last couple of months has been quite taxing for me. I changed job, had to do a bunch of various finals and finish a side project. Which meant a lot less writing than I hoped I would accomplish.

Well, I now have a couple of weeks in which I will be a lot less stressed, and three stories that have to be edited before they can be released in the wild.

As always I look for editors and pre-readers that may endure the exciting new ways in which I mangle the English language.
