Chirpy Hooves, daughter of Derpy Hooves, is left alone with her baby brother and her devastated mother. Two visitors arrive to help out. Who they are is unexpected.

Lyra is an antisocial, impatient unicorn who dislikes rain, walking, and characters she deems annoying. Unfortunately for her, she will have to deal with all three of those things if she wants to make it back safely to her house.

Dinky Doo the unicorn and her best friend Rumble the pegasus are inseparable. Many are jealous of the strong bond they hold, while others are of course expecting them to get together pretty soon. Dinky, however, is quick to assure everyone that their relationship is strictly platonic, but can a series of school events change that about her?

Pinkie Pie decides to host what she has dubbed the "Best Birthday Party Ever" and Rainbow Dash searches all over trying to find a really cool gift for her, one that can only be achieved with a sense of self sacrifice, to show her how much she really cares about her and to thank Pinkie for everything she has done for Rainbow Dash and her friends.
