When someone famous dies the whole world comes to a halt. Everypony wants to attend the funeral and everypony talks about it, because something Significant has happened. If the truth were known, though, most of the mourners didn’t actually know the departed. They cared because she was Famous, and therefore her death matters.

When Carrot Top died the world did not stop. Most ponies didn’t even notice. After all, she wasn’t famous and she wasn’t a hero. But to her friends it was a different story. The death of a celebrity would have been a distant tragedy – but the loss of a close friend was deeply personal.

Octavia made a promise to Pinkie Pie – not just any promise, but a solemn Pinkie promise. Unfortunately for Octavia, she then became busy and forgot all about it. Her grim failure didn’t even register until the pink nightmare came to find her.

Octavia deeply regretted her mistake, but by then it was too late. It was only a matter of time – because no one can hide from Pinkie for very long.

There are many ponies who can cook a batch of cupcakes. As long as you know how to follow a recipe you can get fairly decent results. But if you want to create some baked goods that are truly exceptional, you have to know how to motivate your delectable treats – and no one can do that better than Pinkie Pie.

In Minuette’s life – and in the life of everypony – there are many seasons. There is a time to laugh, and a time to sing. There is a time to dance, and a time to mourn. This day – this hour – was the season of mourning.

Minuette knew that there was nopony else who shared her grief. In all of Canterlot there was probably nopony who even understood it. Minuette had many friends, but some sorrows cannot be shared. It's a touching story of friendships, rain, and a possible case of pneumonia (with a touch of insanity). If you have been dying to read a story about Pinkie staring at a rock and talking to it for hours, this story is for you. It has it all: after all, it has Pinkie, and it has the rock. What more could you possibly want?
