That quiet is shattered after a surpise attack by a ruthless gang of killers leaves the town in shambles, its mares and foals kidnapped by the outlaws. With the help of a mysterious stranger calling himself Tombstone, the Marshal sets off on a quest to rescue the kidnapped ponies and put an end to the crimes of the West's most dangerous criminals.

An ancient manor within the cursed Everfree Forest, supposedly filled with treasure beyond imagining. But for those unfortunate ponies who travel there in search of that wealth, they find only horror and death. Listen to the warnings of the lone survivor as he attempts to save others from this horrible fate.

Sequel to A Mourning Heart
Three weeks have passed since Tacitus first arrived in Ponyville, and he is happier than he has been in a long time. He has a nice home, a job, and most importantly, wonderful friends that he loves dearly. But something is wrong in Ponyville. Ponies all over town, all over Equestria in fact, are suffering from an illness that Tacitus recognizes all too well. When Celestia sends him and his friends to discover the cause of the illness, they find a much more sinister plot in the works. An ancient and forgotten darkness is rising and threatens to engulf the world, and Tacitus, who has finally been able to let go of the grief of his past, must face it once again as shocking revelations are brought to light. Tacitus and his friends must stop this threat before it destroys everything they hold dear.

This is my second story and a sequel to "A Mourning Heart." I hope you all enjoy this story, because I'm going to have a blast writing it, and I hope you will comment and tell me your thoughts, opinions, and criticisms.

Tacitus has just moved to Ponyville and is trying to go on with his life. All he wants is to go on without being hurt anymore than he already has. But things change when he meets the residents of Ponyville, who see his sadness and are determined to help him. He doesn't want their help, but they won't give up easily. It's time Tacitus learned what real friendship was.

This is my first story, and it's the first part of a series I'm planning. Any and all suggestions and criticisms are welcome. Also, as a side note, Tacitus's cutie mark is the Eye of Horus, which I call the Eye of Horsus so that it fits in with the pony world. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Enjoy the story!
